Foundational Safety Awareness for Everyday Travelers
Below is a full 60-minute, beginner course. It is designed around real travel movement, real decisions, and real-world risk reduction rather than generic “travel tips.”
Current contexts note. As of 27 March 2026, official travel advisories continue to warn travelers to Africa / South Africa about violent crime, carjacking, robbery, ATM/card fraud, airport and public-transport targeting, fake tourist police, protests that can turn violent, and higher risk after dark. Official guidance also warns that GPS routing can lead travelers into less secure areas if routes are not verified.
A welcome message and brief overview of the course
This course was built for everyday travelers and everyday people who want to move more safely, think more clearly, and make better decisions in unfamiliar or changing environments. You do not need specialist security knowledge. You do need a willingness to slow down, notice more, and travel with greater intent.
Too many travel problems begin as small, preventable mistakes: poor planning, bad timing, unverified transport, distracted arrival, oversharing, or rushed decisions when something changes. This course helps you reduce those mistakes before they become bigger problems.
